A tale of two unlikely souls searching for meaning in a world that’s written them off, all while trying to prove a wavering myth.
Edwards and Jemaine meet for another stakeout to find evidence of the elusive creature, The Man Bat. Just as they’re about to call it a night, they catch a lead. The mission is clear: Find and capture proof of The Man Bat before the Police find them.
Inspired by film noir and detective movies of the 1940s and ’50s, 35mm film was the ideal medium for this story. Due to limited stock and budgetary constraints, 70% of THE MAN BAT was shot on film and 30% on digital.
Captured on Panavision XL2 and ARRI ALEXA MINI, using Panavision Ultra Speed lenses. Shot on 3 Perf Kodak 5219 / 500T
